OUR UNIQUE DESIGNS
Beachside Quilter proudly presents handcrafted quilts honoring veterans and service members. These custom designed quilts make a perfect birthday, Father’s day, anniversary or Christmas gift for a retiring veteran or current service member. Quilts feature graphic designs from our stock t-shirts, with theme-oriented cotton fabrics designed for Marine, Army, Air Force, and Navy. Fabrics in stars and stripes in Patriotic red, white, and blue adorn the remaining quilt blocks in a variety of sizes and shapes. A bold flag print is featured on the border, with a backing that depicts the featured service.

OUR PROCESS
Beachside Quilter constructs each SALUTE TO HEROES quilt using our stock t-shirts, along with 100% cotton theme-related fabrics including theme backing, and 100% cotton batting. Our quilts are hand-crafted and machine pieced, and then beautifully machine quilted in a meander design using the finest Superior Threads. Our binding is applied by machine and hand-finished.

OUR PRODUCTS
We use the finest, 100% cotton designer fabrics which are pre-washed and dried prior to the piecing of your quilt. Our batting is also preshrunk, to provide stability and minimize shrinkage in your finished quilt.

OUR QUILTING & FINISHING
Your custom quilt is machine quilted on a hand-guided, APQS stitch-regulated longarm quilting machine using a color coordinated thread in a meander pattern. This quilting provides stability to the shirts and ensures durability of your quilt for many years.

Finally, your quilt is finished with a double fold binding of 100% cotton fabric coordinated to the fabrics in your quilt. Binding is applied by machine and hand finished.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR QUILT
Your SALUTE TO HEROES quilt can be customized to include your memorabilia such as insignia, badges, patches, or photos. See directions on “Sending Your Photos” below.

Your quilt can also be enhanced by the addition of your unit or division tee shirt. If you have shirts or BDU’s that you wish to have incorporated into your quilt, call for information. Some unit shirts, such as “Big Red One”, “First Cav”, “Screaming Eagles” are available for an additional fee; call or e-mail for details.

SENDING YOUR PICTURES
Your pictures can be sent in digital format by e-mail, or saved on CD-ROM and mailed along with your shirts. We will then transfer the photos to fabric and incorporate them into your quilt.

You may also send original photographs which will be scanned and transferred to fabric. Your original photos will be returned to you along with your quilt. Photos should be no larger than 8 x 10 inches.

Certificates, awards and other memorabilia can also be scanned and copied onto fabric similar to the photo process. These original documents will also be returned along with your finished quilt.

CARE OF YOUR QUILT
Treat your quilt with TLC by gently machine washing with a small amount of detergent using a delicate cycle low spin; then tumble dry at very low heat until slightly damp. Hang to finish drying. These quilts are made to be used and loved for many years to come.
