Have you ever wanted to try your hand at longarm quilting but don’t know where to start?

Beachside Quilter offers “Introduction to Longarm Quilting” classes on an APQS Millennium stitch-regulated longarm quilting machine.

This 3-hour class covers the basics of using a longarm machine including an overview of the machine and quilting process, identifying the parts of a longarm machine and the maintenance procedures. We also identify the different types of batting and threads, and how to choose the proper materials to achieve your desired quilting result.

In this class, you will learn how to load the quilt top, backing and batting, how to operate the machine using the stitch-regulator, and how to use pantographs, patterns, rulers, as well as free-motion quilting techniques.

The fee for this class is $65.00 and includes both demonstration and hand-on use.

Beachside Quilter supplies the muslin, batting, and thread. All you need to bring to this class is a small notebook and your creative spirit! Join us and enjoy the “freedom” of quilting on a professional longarm machine!
